Govt to set up CSC on workers

SRINAGAR, Oct 7:  The Government has announced to frame a Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) for regularisation of Daily Rated Workers (DRW), working in various departments in the State.
Responding to the demands raised by several members during the ‘Zero Hour’ in the Legislative Assembly today, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sukhnandan Kumar said that a CSC would be framed very soon for the regularisation of workers working in various departments.
Earlier, speaker Vikrant Gupta disallowed ‘Adjournment Motion’ submitted by Congress and Communist Party of India and People’s Democratic Front members demanding debate on daily wagers, need based workers and National Youth Corps who are on hunger strike for the past 37 days demanding their regularisation.
Mr Gupta asked members to raise the issue during Zero-Hour.
