POONCH, Jan 18: National Conference today termed tall claims of the State Government for inclusive developmental projects in border areas a hollow claim and said that the Government is ignoring border areas while framing developmental plans.
Youth National Conference Provincial President, Ajaz Jan during his visit to different border areas of Poonch asked PDP-BJP Govt to come concrete on its promise of inclusive development of border areas.
During his interaction with the people of the area, Jan came to know about poor healthcare services in their area and lack of Government initiatives to start new developmental projects in border areas.
He said a number of developmental projects were started in border areas and schemes like BADP were implemented in letter and spirit but present Government has neither started adequate new projects nor bothered to ensure continuity and completion of works started by previous Governments.
He said that state of work culture in Government institutions in border areas is too poor and no one is paying attention towards these institutions.
Quoting the miseries of border population, Jan also asked Government of India and Pakistan to open peace talks to avoid miseries of border area people.
