Gram, masoor move up on scattered demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 25:  Gram and masoor prices firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on mild demand from retailers.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said uptick in demand from retailers mainly led to rise in gram and masoor prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,100-6,700, Rs 6,700- 7,100 and Rs 7,100-7,200 per quintal, respectively.
Masoor small and bold also moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,000-4,200 and Rs 4,050-4,300 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality followed suit and enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 4,300-4,800 and Rs 4,400-4,900 per quintal.
