Grant district status to Billawar: Dr Jitendra

BILLAWAR, Mar 1: BJP Lok Sabha candidate for Kathua-Udhampur Constituency,Party’s National Executive Member & State chief spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh today demanded district status for Billawar-Basohli.
Addressing a meeting of party workers here, he said, even as the BJP has, in its organizational working, already granted district status to Basohli-Billawar-Bani, it is strange that the State Government does not consider it important to grant district status to it for better functioning of the administration in this region.
He also referred to poor road connectivity and demanded rail link for Billawar-Basohli. He said, if BJP wins from here, the party will raise in the Lok Sabha the issue of constant neglect of this region during ten years of Congress rule.
Dr. Jitendra Singh appealed for a vote for BJP to liberate the country from the menace of mis-governance, corruption and dynasty rule. Reiterating Narendra Modi’s slogan of ‘ Vote for India”, he said that a vote for BJP is indeed a vote for India because there is no other political option for common man to get benefits of equal opportunity and justice as envisaged in a democracy. Expressing gratitude to the Party workers for showing such great enthusiasm on announcement of Party mandate for him, Dr. Jitendra Singh said now this is the collective responsibility of all of us to win this seat for BJP and add to Narendra Modi’s tally in Lok Sabha.
The meeting was convened by senior leader& State Incharge of BJP’s Morchas Satish Sharma, who appealed for a vote in favour of Dr. Jitendra Singh, whom he described as a candidate with clean image.
State general secretary Rajiv Jasrotia referred to Dr. Singh’s distinguished role in 2008 Amarnath land row agitation.
Kathua-Udhampur Constituency Incharge Som Raj Khajuria, district president Ved Mankotia, district organisation general secretary Inderjit Sharma, Premnath Dogra, Mandal president Amrik Singh and Bhag Singh, local leader Ganesh Basotra and others also addressed the meeting.
