T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup

DODA, Dec 17: Green Shaheen Doda and Masud Bhaderwah XI registered wins against their opponents in the ongoing T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup, being organized by Doda Police Headquarters in collaboration with St George Convent School Batote, here today.
In the first match, Green Shaheen Club Doda defeated Doda Warriors by 6 wickets.
Batting first, Doda Warriors scored 118 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 15 overs with Sonu Sharma scoring 21, Rajan 13 and Amit 12 runs.
From the bowling side, Amir Wani took 4 wickets, Nasir Ali took 2 wickets whereas Nasir Malik and Sohail took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Green Shaheen Club chased the target in 13.1 overs by losing 4 wickets thus won the match by 6 wickets. Yawar Khan scored 46 runs, Irfan made 33 runs while Faisal contributed 9 runs to the total.
From the bowling side, Rajan took 2 wickets while Sonu and Asif grabbed 1 wicket each.
Amir Wani was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling in the match.
In another match, Masud Bhaderwah defeated Sazan Club Doda by 40 runs.
Batting first, Masud Bhaderwah scored 121 runs in the allotted 15 overs with Mohsin scoring 19 runs, Adil 18 runs and Khalid 14 runs.
From the bowling side, Nawaz took 3 important wickets, while Nazeeb, Aqib and Harmeet 2 wickets each.
In reply, Sazan Club Doda could not chase the target and made 81 runs by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 40 runs. Sadam was the only batsman who made 19 runs rest none of the batsman show any resistance against the tough bowling of Masud Bhaderwah.
From the bowling side, Rinku took 4 wickets, Owais 2 wickets while Abid Mushtak, Adil, Khalid and Danish claimed1 wicket each.
Rinku was adjudged as Man of the Match for his best bowling.
The matches were officiated by Sourav Katoch, Imran Kalal, Sagar Ittu, Yasir Dar, Nousher Bhat, Ajay Katoch and Babar Lone.
In tomorrow’s, Doda Superkings will take on Youth Scorchers, Peer Panchal Gurmur will clash with Firdous XI Doda and United Doda will take on Bhaleesa Club, informed Rajesh Gill Coordinator of the tournament.
