Green Shaheen to lock horns with Masud in final summit

DODA, Dec 22: Trouncing their rivals convincingly in their respective matches during the ongoing T20 Christmas Celebration Cup, Green Shaheen Doda and Masud Bhaderwah will lock horns against each other during the final summit, tomorrow.
The championship is being organized by Doda Police headquarters in collaboration with St. George Convent School Batote under the guidance of Dr Sunil Gupta DIG DKR and under the supervision of Abdul Qayoom SSP Doda, Rajesh Gill former Ranji player, while Fr. Rupak, DySP Showkat Ali, DySP Jaswant Singh, Arun Sharma SHO, Amir Karim Wani and Yasir Ali were among the coordinators of the event.
The first semi-final match was played between Green Shaheen Doda and Combined XI Doda, wherein Green Shaheen defeated the latter by 7 wickets. Batting first, Combined XI scored 136 runs for the loss of all wickets with Dawd Abrar’s 58 runs, while Vishal Sharma and Irfan made 25 and 16 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Suhail took 4 wickets, Amir and Nasir claimed 2 wickets each, while Saqib got 1 wicket.
In reply, Green Shaheen chased the target in 13.5 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Yawar Khan scored 48 runs, Amir made 43 runs while Irfan contributed 19 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Vishal took 3 wickets. Suhail was declared as man of the match.
In the second semi-final match, Masud Bhaderwah defeated Shining Club Doda by 29 runs. Batting first Masud Bhaderwah made 198 runs in the allotted 16 overs by losing 2 wickets. Adil Wani made 88 runs, while Farhad Shapu scored 78 and Rinku contributed 25 runs. From the bowling side, Adil and Arif took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Shining Stars Doda managed to score 171 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Majid Rather scored 48 runs, while Arif made 29 runs and Majid Dar contributed 28 runs. From the bowling side, Rinku took 4 wickets, while Shafkat Baba got 3 wickets and Adil and Owais shared 1 wicket each. Adil was adjudged as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sourav Katoch, Imran Kalal, Sagar Ittu, Yasir Dar, Nousher Bhat, Ajay Katoch and Babar Lone.
