KATHUA, Sept 8: The irate people blocked National Highway at Raj Bagh late tonight for over two hours after a group clash between the members of a particular community.
A youth was also seriously injured in the group clash between two rival factions and he was rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment where his condition is stated to be critical.
He has been identified as Deep Singh S/o Swaran Singh of Raj Bagh. He was hit with a cricket bat by a member of his rival group.
According to reports after the clash the members of another group came to National Highway and staged a protest there. They resorted to road blockade and did not allow any vehicle to move.
The senior police and civil officers rushed to the spot and their all efforts to pacify the protestors failed to yield fruit as the members of this group were demanding action against the another group. The NH blockade continued for over two hours.
However no arrest has been made till late in the night.
Police said the clash ensued over the parking of a vehicle by the members of one group which was objected by another group.
