DODA, June 7: Gujarat Cricket Club thrashed Guru Dass Cricket Club (GDCC) Delhi by 8 wickets to move into the pre-quarterfinals of the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial T20 Championship, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, put to bat, GDCC Delhi scored 109 runs in 14 overs by losing 9 wickets. Aaris and Shyam contributed 30 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For Gurajat CC, Maaz and Junaid captured 3 wickets each.
Gujarat CC, in reply chased the target in just 9.4 overs by losing 2 wickets in the process, and won the match by 8 wickets. Sayeed played a quick-fire innings of 52 runs in just 30 deliveries, which included four fours and 2 sixes, while Ismail contributed well made 39 runs to the total. For GDCC Delhi Abhishek and Ravi shared one wicket each. Sayeed was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant innings.
The match was officiated by Sanjay Singh and Subhash Mathur as umpires, while Shahid Bashir Pampoori acted as scorer.
