Gujjar family kidnapped

KATHUA, Jan 7: Three members of a Gujjar family were kidnapped from Village Jasrota 20 kms from here falling under the jurisdiction Raj Bagh Police Station late last night by a rival gang of Gujjars.
According to a report filed by Nawab Din a neighbor of the family in PS Rajbagh three members of a Gujjar family including Ali Mohammed, his wife Nimo and eight year old son Gola on the point of a sharp edged weapon were forced to board a Maurti van late last night and they were taken to an unknown destination by a gang of gujjars.
However the SDPO Border, Diwakar Singh said that the police has got inputs that the family has been taken to some where in Basholi and police will raid the area to arrest the kidnappers and rescue the family. He said a FIR has been registered in Rajbagh Police Station in this regard.
SHO Rajbagh, Inspector, Ajay Jamwal said that the two rival groups have a land dispute and police has registered the case and most probably the family will be rescued by tonight.
