JAMMU, June 15: Ch Nazakat Khatana, State President Gujjar and Bakerwal Desh Youth Body today condemned the merciless demolition of residential houses at Asrarabad, Sidhra, Jammu 13 June 13, 2017. He said that these people were not given any notice and abruptly the demolition and dismantling was done in an inhuman manner.
Addressing a press conference, Khatana said most of the poor people of Asrarabad Sidhra have been targeted deliberately by Jammu Development Authority. It may be mentioned here that the said dismantled land is a State land and has also been approved under Roshni Act in J&K. Without having any information or awareness the Government alongwith JDA is harassing the poor people in this holy month of Ramzan.
He appealed the State Government to take steps and stop this demolition in the said area. He warned that if the same demolition happened again, we will protest and clashes may happen leading to unrest in State.
Those present in the press conference included Ch Farid Ahmed, Mumtaz Chowdhary, Ch Sajad, Ch Shahamsdin, Ch Jamat Ali and others.
