JAMMU, Nov 30: Rajesh Gupta, BJP candidate, Jammu East held a public function today at Mohalla Dalpatian, Jammu. The programme was organized by the residents of the colony where a large number of people are living in custodian properties.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta said that Dalpatian Mohalla is his parent constituency and earlier he got had the opportunity to work in the Constituency as a Corporator as well. Given the opportunity, he will take care of the problems of the people living in the custodian properties. He further said that he has been waging a struggle for granting ownership rights to the custodian tenants for a long time, but the Governments of the day were never serious about the issue. He said that he is grateful to the party for granting him an opportunity to serve the people of the constituency.
Jammu East has a great legacy as the constituency of late Prem Nath Dogra and it is his good fortune that he has been given the mandate to serve the people of this heritage constituency. He takes it upon himself to develop it as a model constituency in the days to come and will bring complete package for the development of the area. He is conscious of the traffic problems in the area as a result of which the residents and the businessmen have been suffering. He also expressed his thanks to the party for nominating him for the constituency representation as a young party activist.
On the occasion, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir was specially felicitated. He in his speech said that there is a country wide wave of change in favour of BJP and the Jammu and Kashmir State has a historic opportunity to define itself as a constituency where the nationalist opinion can prevail. It is incumbent upon the activists to translate this huge support into votes in the elections so that there is a visible change in the State. Rajesh Gupta is a grass root level activist of the party who has a great people connect. He made a fervent appeal to the people to vote in his favour for his sincerity and honesty.
