Gupta inaugurates community hall

JAMMU, July 16 : Former Union Minister and M.L.A Jammu West, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta today dedicated the community hall constructed at the cost of Rs 22 lakh in Sarwal area falling in Ward No. 16 to the general public. Large number of people including Chairman JKDF Anil Gupta were present on the occasion.
The hall has been constructed  from CDF of Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta  by Jammu Municipal Corporation. Construction of the community hall in the area was the long  pending demand of the people which has been met after constant efforts of the MLA.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Gupta said that more community halls are under construction in Jammu West Constituency and every effort shall be made to complete  construction of  all these  halls at the earliest.
On the request of Chairman JKDF Anil Gupta, Prof. Gupta further sanctioned Rs 10 lakh additional amount  for works of renovation of community hall to make it equipped with all modern facilities.
Mr.  Rampal a senior JKDF leader and President of Ward No. 16 and other inhabitants of ward expressed their gratitude to   Prof. Gupta for his initiatives of carrying out developmental activities  in Jammu West Constituency, They said many works like black topping of roads, construction of lanes, drains and Electrical maintenance which has been the long pending demands of people of area has been met.
A delegation of 100 people from Ward No. 12 also met Prof. Gupta to apprise him about their demands regarding sufferings of people during rainy season due to the overflowing of Nallah adjacent to their residences.  Prof. Gupta informed the people that a Construction plan worth Rs 43 lakh are on cards for diversion of Nallah from its existing location. Prof. Gupta assured the representatives that he will take up the matter with concerned authorities and request them for fresh survey so that the diversion and construction shall not affect any household of the area.
Prominent persons present on the occasion are Arun Khanna, Prashant Puri, B.D Sharma, Parveen Kumar,  Rakesh Kumar, Madhuban, Surinder Kumar and Abhishek Slathia etc.
