JAMMU, Oct 2: Chaman Lal Gupta was today elected as president and Sanjeev Parihar as general secretary of All JAKFED Employees Trade Union.
Results were declared by the Returning Officer this afternoon.
Out of a total of 181 votes polled, three votes were declared invalid for the election of president. Chaman Lal Gupta secured 108 votes followed by Mohammad Iqbal Mir, who got 34, Shadi Lal Bali (29) and Anchal Singh (7).
For the post of general secretary, Sanjeev Parihar was declared elected with 139 votes defeating his only rival Zuber Ahmad Tak, who got 38 votes. Four votes were declared as invalid.
After the election, Mr Gupta and Mr Parihar were garlanded by the JAKFED employees.
