JAMMU, Apr 10: Senior Congress leader and Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) vice president Janak Raj Gupta today highlighted the remarkable achievements of coalition Government in the State and UPA at Centre.
While addressing meetings of workers at Katra and Jaganu, Gupta said that the past 10 years of Congress led UPA were the golden era of development as historic steps have been taken, to benefit the people with introduction of new schemes and laws.
While lauding the leadership of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Gupta said that the opening of new Medical Colleges, Cancer Institutes, health centres, and extension of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in the State showed the commitment and dedication of Ghulam Nabi Azad towards the people of J&K.
He further added that even in the short tenure of Azad’s Chief Ministership, J&K had witnessed tremendous development and still people called his tenure a ‘Golden Era’ be it in Kashmir or Jammu.
Gupta further said that the initiative of new administrative units was taken in Azad’s tenure who created districts and later Coalition Government under the leadership of Chief Minister completed the envisioned dream.
He appealed the electorates to vote for Ghulam Nabi Azad on April 17, who is the bright face and his victory will take State to a logical conclusion in every sphere.
Kushal Sharma, Parshotam Mehra, general secretary DDC Jammu Urban, Deedar Singh, senior vice president of JKTUC, Varinder Mahajan president AIYBO and Sunil Kumar also addressed the gathering.
