Gur ends steady on small demand

NEW DELHI, Jan 19:  The wholesale gur (jaggery) market closed on a steady note in the national capital today largely on scattered buying amid sufficient stocks position.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too finished at previous levels in the absence of any worthwhile activity.
Marketmen said ample stocks position and scattered demand, mainly held prices unaltered.
The following are today’s quotations in Rs per quintal:
Gur chakku 2,800-2,900, pedi 2,900-3,000, dhayya 3,000- 3,100 and shakkar 3,200-3,300.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,300-2,350, chakku 2,500-2,650 and khurpa 2,550-2600.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2650-2,700 and dhayya 2,650-2700. (PTI)
