MENDHAR, June 28: Residents of village Phamra Nar today held a meeting under the leadership of local leader and prominent social activist, Javed Gulshan and expressed strong resentment over worst power scenario in the area.
The speakers lambasted the authorities of Gursei Grid Station and higher authorities of Power Development Department for not ensuring regular power supply in village Phamra Nar and other neighbouring areas connected with Gursei Grid Station.
Javed Gulshan, while speaking said, “People of Naka Manjhari, Gursei, Parat, Herni, Phamra Nar and various other adjoining villages are almost without power for about last six months, as they have been supplied power for about 30 minutes per day while they have been receiving heavy bills per month from PDD.
Citing the reason of worst power scenario in the area, he said Gursei Grid Station has 3 feeders out of which two are out of order for about last six months, and only the lone 3rd feeder is working which is insufficient and incapable to meet the power demand of this huge belt.
Later, the villagers led by Javed Gulshan, also approached AEE, PDD, Sub-Division Mendhar and discussed their grievances with them.
Gulshan also appealed the AEE to take immediate action in restoring the power supply in the area. He also appealed the concerned Minister to intervene personally in the matter and also issue orders for establishing separate Grid Station for Herni and Gursei areas.
