REASI, Oct 2:  The first batch of Haj pilgrims which arrived Reasi today, strongly criticized the State Government for alleged discrimination with the Hajis of Jammu region and poor arrangements for them at Srinagar airport.
Talking to media persons, they alleged that the Government did not provide them basic facilities like, food, rest rooms and toilets at Srinagar when they returned back from Haj on October 1.   According to them, when they left for Haj from Reasi, administration had arranged four buses for them but when they returned, only single bus was provided to them at Srinagar Airport. “When we asked officials at the airport for one more bus, they misbehaved with us and threatened to cancel that single bus also, the Hajis said and informed that they hired one more private vehicle on their own.
The first batch of 44 pilgrims, which came back Reasi today, alleged that no one from Government or administration in Srinagar had asked them for food. Haji Ibrahim, who is Sarpanch Talwara, said that they had arranged food on their own. Haji Ab Rashid from Mahore demanded that there should be a separate Haj house at Jammu. He also demanded an inquiry against officials responsible for the mismanagement.
