POONCH, Nov 15: Senior Gojri leader Shemsher Hakla Poonchi has advocated for Gojri language in a meeting of prominent Gujjar biradari members held under his chairmanship, here today.
Mr Poonchi appealed the Government for taking initiatives with regard to promotion of Gojri language in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that the same was the need of the hour.
He said that he and his team will strike t all fronts to fulfill the dreams of thousands of gujjars in the Stte.
In another meeting of the Gojri leaders, Mohd Amin Anjum, president, Gojri Falai Sangat felt satisfaction over the efforts of Mr Poonchi with regard to development of gujjars and promotion of Gogri language in the State.
He said that telecast of Gojri News on Doordarshan Jammu is also the fruit of the endevours of Mr Poonchi and other such leaders.
