JAMMU, Feb 28: Handa College of Education, Sainik Colony, Jammu conducted an Inter-College Symposium on the topic “Training Pupil Teachers for Inculcating Scientific Attitude among Students” on the National Science Day, here today.
The programme  started with the welcome address by Savita Sethi, Sr Lecturer.
Prof Mubarakh Singh, HoD Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Gurpreet Handa, Director Handa College of Education was the guest of honor.
The chief guest stressed on the need of inclusive Education in his speech.
The participants from various Colleges expressed their views on the topic and vied for the top honours.
The participating Colleges included Adarsh College of Education, Galaxy College of Education, Handa College of Education, MIER College of Education, NSM College of Education, RM College of Education and Students from Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Jammu.
The first prize was awarded to Neelakshi Sharma, 2nd to Harshleen Kour, 3rd to Sugandhita Slathia and consolation prize to Mamta Vohra.
The programme concluded with a memento presentation to the worthy guests by Dr Vikram Handa, Managing Director Handa College of Education and was hosted by Shapia Shameem, Convener Science Club, Handa College of Education.
The vote of thanks was presented by Rupinder Kour.
