JAMMU, Mar 13: National Executive Member, BJP Mahila Morcha and former Corporator, Sheela Handoo today urged the relief organization to take immediate steps in allotting the TRTs at Jagti Township to the deserving migrants including cancer and chronic disease patients, widows and poor relief holders.
Talking to reporters here, today she said many such people were not considered by the Relief organizations in making the allotment of 750 quarters recently.
Challenging the allotments made by the organization, she alleged irregularities in the same as some deserving cases were ignored. Moreover the allotments were made when the Model Code of Conduct was in force, she added.
She said that the organization even did not gave the exact number of applications received and the number of quarters allotted. The number of applicants was revealed as 13,000 and number of quarters 600 while the actual number of quarters was 750 and the number of actual applications received under proper receipt was 5000, she added.
She said the organization even did not entertain her  application regarding redressal of grievances of the deserving applicants and officers at the helm of affairs misbehaved with her.
Accusing the organization of appeasement, she said a political party was given due favour while making allotments.
