JAMMU, Nov 27: J&K’s Kuldeep Handoo is heading the Indian Wushu team as Chief National Coach for 13th South Asian Games to be held at Nepal from December 1 to 10, 2019.
The 24-member Indian Wushu team, which has been shortlisted for these Games is in SAI Bhopal for the National Coaching Camp for the preparation of the Indian Wushu team.
Earlier, under the supervision of Kuldeep Handoo, Indian Wushu team remained overall champions in 2010 South Asian Games at Dhaka and 2016 in India.
Pertinent to mention here that recently in Shanghai 15th World Wushu Championship Indian Wushu team secured consecutive 2nd Gold medal under the guidance of Mr Handoo.
Moreover, under his supervision Indian team has secured 3rd place in the medal tally in the World Championship, Asian Games and Asian Championships.
Jammu and Kashmir won first ever medal in the Asian Games in 2018 at Jakarta under his supervision.
