Handwara girl bags gold in Archery

SRINAGAR, Feb 4: Eight-year-old girl Fazeelat Aslam, a student of Foundation World School, Budgam, won gold medal in 13th and 14th National Field Indoor Archery Championship 2023-24 held in Pune Maharashtra.
Fazeelat, daughter of Mohammad Aslam Bhat, represented Jammu Kashmir at national level and hails from Handwara. She won the gold medal under-10 age category. The championship was held at Rajaram Bhiku Pathare Stadium Pune, in which more than 250 participants from 15 States and UTs took part.
Fazeelat has achieved 58 points and bagged 1st rank in the championship. The four-day events of the championship ended today. Fazeelat, while expressing gratitude, said her family supported her a lot during this journey. She also said that it was a proud moment for her as she represented J&K at the national level.
She appealed to the younger generation of J&K to shine and excel in the fields of their choice and prove their ability and strength for making their future the brightest one.
