VIJAYPUR, Apr 7: All India Congress Committee (AICC) member and incharge J&K Manul Haq and former Congress Minister Manjit Singh today appealed people in Ramgarh to give votes in favour of Madan Lal Sharma, contesting from Jammu-Poonch and Ghulam Nabi Azad who is contesting on Udhampur-Doda – Kathua Parliamentry seat.
Speaking on the ocassion, Haq said nation grows whenever Congress is stronger and people should support the secular party. He said communal forces have been trying to mislead people and people should remain cautions from the dividing forces.
He turned down the claim of BJP regarding Modi wave.
“There is no Modi wave in J&K. There is only NC-Congress wave in the State and the alliance will win all the six Parliamentry seats defeating communal forces,” AICC leader said.
Manjit Singh said Congress Party is committed for the solution of issues related to border people.
“Congress Party is seriouly looking into the concerns and demands of refugees,” Singh said, adding Congress led UPA has already formed a proposal for the one time settlement of refugees/displaced persons.
Tirth Bhagat, Babbal Gupta for Madan Lal Sharma Col. Swaran Singh, Sukdev Choudhary, Capt. Harnam Singh, Vijay Choudhary, Raghuvir Choudhary and Karnail Singh were also present.
