Jammu, June 29: Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket registered convincing 33-run win over Jammu School Cricket XI in the last match and clinched the Series by (2-1) at Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket ground at Jallandhar.
On the valedictory function, SP Krishnan, former Coach of Lukhnow Sports College was the Chief Guest, who distributed prizes among the winners of various awards on the occasion.
He said such exposure tours and series’ helps the players to perform better at the higher levels.
Earlier in last match of the Series, Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket while batting first scored a good total of 159 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Bunty scored brilliant 50 runs, while Harleen and Jatin contributed valuable 39 and 27 runs resepctively.
For Jammu Schools XI, Amit was the pick of the bowlers, who took 2 wickets, while Prayas claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Jammu School XI managed to score 126 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus lost the match by 33 runs. Abhay Tandon was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Kannav contributed 14 runs to the total. From Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket, Jatin took 3 wickets, while Sanchit bagged 2 wickets.
Bunty was declared as the man of the match, best batsman and man of the Series, while Amit Kumar of Jammu School XI was adjudged as the best bowler.
The Series was organised by J&K Sports Promoters Club with an objective to help budding cricketers hone their skills at the higher levels.
