Hargun Club advances to next round

JAMMU, Apr 23: Hargun Cricket Club, Simble Camp registered 9 wickets win over Young Blood Cricket Club (YBCC), Gole Gujral and advanced to the next round of the ongoing Baisakhi Premier League T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Diamond Cricket Club at Government Boys High School, Simble Camp, here today.
Electing to bat first, YBCC scored 118 runs for all out in 20 overs. Jatinder chipped in 38 runs, while Kawal and Vivek scored 18 and 14 runs respectively.
For Hargun Cricket Club side, Sumit was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 wickets, while Rajan also scalped 2 wickets. Sanju, Jatan and Vikram took one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, Hargun Cricket Club chased the target in 18 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Jatan played a wonderful inning and scored 66 runs, while Sanju also chipped in 30 runs.
For YBCC side, Simran was the lone bowler, who took one wicket.
Jatan of Hargun Cricket Club was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh and Harcharan Bablu as umpires, while Ginni maintained the scorecard.
The tournament is being organised under the overall supervision of GS Michael, Sports Secretary.
