KATHUA, Dec 27: Two promising athletes from J&K’s Kathua district-Haripal Singh Jasotia and Umesh Kumar have made the entire nation proud by winning gold medals at the recently concluded International Powerlifting Championship in Moscow, Russia.
Haripal Singh Jasotia, while competing in Master’s category, won three gold medals while Umesh Kumar secured two gold medals in the Junior category.
Movement Kalki’s founder, Deepak Singh, residents of Kathua and several social organizations have expressed happiness and extended best wishes to these athletes.
A warm welcome was accorded to Haripal Singh and Umesh Kumar on their return to Kathua by the locals, social organizations and fellow athletes.
