JAMMU, Dec 13: Harshita Sharma bagged first place in 11 to 14 years girls, while Muskan Rajput and Ashvi Mahajan claimed second and third position in this group in the Jammu District Yoga Championship, organized by J&K Yoga Association under the aegis of Yoga Federation of India at Handa College of Education, Sainik Colony, here.
Former Education Minister and Chairman J&K Panthers Party, Harshdev Singh formally inaugurated the event in a simple function today.
Earlier, Deepak Handa, president J&K Yoga Association presented welcome address.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof Ashutosh Sharma, Dr Vikram Handa, Principal Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School Jammu and Seema Mohan, Principal Handa College of Education.
Meanwhile, in 11 to 14 years boys, Tarun Kumar, Nadeem Hussain and Akash Sharma bagged first, second and third place respectively.
In 8 to 11 years boys, Keshav Singh and Shivaye bagged first and second place respectively, while in the same age group of girls, Seerat Swar clinched first place, Simran Kumari bagged second spot, while Simran Bhat claimed third place.
In 14 to 17 years boys, Mohd Hussain, Naman Sharma and Himanshu Bhat claimed the first three positions respectively, while in girls section, Akansha Bhat claimed first place, while the second place went to Riya Gupta.
In 17 to 21 years boys, Ranjeet Singh bagged first place, while Pardeep Singh and Ankleshwar Manhas claimed second and third place respectively.
