29th junior National Thang-Ta C’ship concludes

SRINAGAR, Oct 5: The 29th Junior National Thang-Ta Championship in 2023 concluded at the Multipurpose Indoor Hall in Polo Ground, here today. This prestigious event was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Thang-Ta Association under the auspices of the Thang-Ta Federation of India, with sponsorship from the J&K Sports Council.
Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir was chief guest on concluding ceremony while Nuzhat Gull, Secretary was guest of honour. The overall team champion was declared to be Haryana, with Manipur as the 1st runner-up and Jammu and Kashmir being declared as 3rd in the championship.
Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar praised the efforts of the organizing committee of the J&K Thang-Ta Association for the successful completion of the championship. H. Prem Kumar Singh, Grand Master of the World Thang-Ta Federation, Sheikh Riyaz Ahmad, Administrative Officer of the J&K Sports Council, Maqsood Khan, Manager of the Indoor Hall at Polo Ground, Mushtaq Zargar, Manager of Bakshi Stadium, and Vinod Sharma, Secretary of the Thang-Ta Federation of India, were also present at this occasion.
