Haryana declares at 398/4; J&K 52/3 in second essay

JAMMU, Dec 13: Powered by a brilliant knock of 198 runs by skipper and opener SJ Rana, Haryana declared their innings at 398/4 in 90.2 overs in the ongoing 3-day match of the Vijay Merchant Under-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at Science College Ground, here today.
J&K were struggling at 52 for the loss of three wickets at stumps on day-2 today.
Earlier, HJ Ranascored 198 runs off 245 balls with the help of 32 boundaries, while SG Rohilla also slammed century, scoring 115 runs, studded with 19 boundaries. YR Sharma also contributed 53 runs to the mammoth total. For J&K, Momin Mansoor, Shabaz Wani and Virtul Bakshi claimed one wicket each.
J&K, in reply were tottering at 52/3, with Shubam Pundir unbeaten on 15 runs and Dawar Farooq on zero at crease. Abhishant Bakshi, Suryansh Raina and Tushar Gupta contributed 16, 15 and 4 runs to the total respectively.
For Haryana, VA Yadav took 2 wickets, while VV Yadav claimed one.
