JAMMU, July 23: Haryana today lifted the Senior National Korfball Championship beating Uttar Pradesh by 13-05 in the final played at Gymnasium of University of Jammu (JU), here.
The third place was shared by hosts J&K and Rajasthan.
Earlier, in the semifinals, played in the morning session, Haryana defeated Rajasthan 19-12 and Uttar Pradesh trounced J&K 11-10.
In the final and valedictory function, President of the J&K Korfball Association, TS Wazir was the chief guest, who along with guest of honour, Director Department of Sports and Physical Education, Doud Iqbal Baba gave away the title trophies and other individual prizes.
Among others present were Usha Chuni (vice president), Manjeet Singh (general secretary), Ram Kumar Sharma (treasure), Dr Brij Blowria (secretary), Seema Kharyal (joint Secretary) and Tarlok Singh, Manmeet Singh and Bhupinder Singh Tirthy, Janak Singh, Raja Singh and Iqbal Singh.
