DODA, July 22: Wadiye Kashmir registered resounding win over Shaheen Cricket Club Doda by 81 runs and advanced into the next stage of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Wadiye Kashmir team set a huge target of 239 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Hashim Mir played a brilliant innings of 100 run, while Mudassir Ahmed contributed valuable 25 runs. From SCC Doda, Muzamik Malik, Nawaz Butt and Afraz Tak shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, the team Shaheen Cricket Club Doda bundled out for 158 runs to lose the match by a big margin. Najeeb Butt was the highest scorer who contributed 38 runs while Muzamil Malik contributed 30 runs for his team. From Wadiye Kashmir, Ishfaq Ahmed scalped 2 wickets while Hashim Mir, Faheem Butt, Mudassir Ahmed, Umar Nabi and Parveez Butt shared 1 wicket each. Hashim Mir of Wadiye Kashmir team was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant performance.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Vijay Partab Singh as umpires while Milind Gore and Waseem Raja maintained the scorebook.
