JAMMU, Mar 26: Hatim Reyaz, a stylish southpaw and Kamaksh Sharma, wicketkeeper batter of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) have been selected by the Junior National Selection Committee to attend the National Cricket Academy U-19 Elite Camp from April 25 to May 22 at Nadiad, Gujarat and Salem, Tamil Nadu respectively, being organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Both are promising players of JKCA and the products of JKCA’s Talent Hunt.
Hatim Reyaz has scored 422 runs with 1 century and 2 half centuries, while Kamaksh Sharma apart from showing excellence behind the wickets–sharp reflexes, anticipation and a pair of safe hands in business, has scored 279 runs with 3 half centuries.
“This is an excellent opportunity for both the players to hone their skills further under the watchful eyes of the best coaches in the business. The Sub-Committee members hope that the players will put in their best and return to the team as a great asset at the end of the camp. With their valuable experience and coaching tips they will also benefit the other members of the team”, stated Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd.), Member Administration, JKCA while congratulating the players.
Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations & Development, JKCA and Sunil Sethi, Member Legal Affairs JKCA have also complimented the selected players and wished them good luck while exhorting them to put in their best during the camp. Arun Sharma, Chairman, Junior Men Selection Committee and other members of the Selection Committee have expressed their happiness on the inclusion of 2 players from the JKCA in the Elite Camp.
