JAMMU, Oct 26: High Court has stayed the investigation in FIR registered by Crime Branch Jammu against JKAS officer Neha Kashyap Pandita and her sister Meenakshi Pandita, a Government teacher, which has been registered for drawing relief meant for the Kashmiri migrants despite being the Government servants.
After hearing Advocate Ankur Sharma for the petitioners whereas AAG Raman Sharma for the Crime Branch, Justice Rajnesh Oswal issued notice and ordered that subject to objections, the investigation in FIR against Neha Kashyap Pandita and Meenakshi Pandita, shall stay.
During the course of hearing, Advocate Ankur Sharma submitted that the impugned FIR is a counter blast to an FIR filed against Proforma Respondent Ramesh Kumar Bhat (JKPS) involved in moral turpitude and impersonation.
“The current SSP Crime Branch is a batch-mate of Ramesh Kumar Bhat (JKPS) and he seems to be swayed away at Bhat desperation and insistence in filing a false FIR against the petitioners so that the same can be used as a tool to settle FIR registered against Ramesh Kumar Bhat”, Advocate Sharma said, adding “something which is not a crime has shown be a crime under Section 420 IPC and the entire state machinery has been put into action for personal gains of Ramesh Kumar Bhat”.
