JAMMU, Dec 21: J&K High Court has stayed the termination of services of record clerks and store keepers appointed in Health and Medical Education Department.
In a writ petition filed by Adil Hussain and others through senior advocate Anil Sethi versus Union Territory of J&K and others Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K State High Court has issued directives to UT Government of J&K , Under Secretary to Government Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department Civil Secretariat to allow the petitioners to continue at their respective place of postings.
The court has also asked the respondents to file objections by or before the next date of hearing in the case.
Advocate Anil Sethi in his petition has prayed before the Court seeking a direction to the respondents not to disturb the applicants to discharge their duties at their respective places of postings.
The Court observed that factual position as is emerging as on today is that in Kathua Medical College against the sanctioned strength of 77 only 35 people have been working , thus leaving a total number of 42b vacancies. The petitioner qua this Medical College are 29 only before the Court.
Similarly qua Medical College Rajouri out of 77 vacancies only 25 people have joined leaving behind 52 vacancies while the petitioners before the court are 29 only. So far as GMC Doda is concerned only 20 candidates have joined against sanctioned strength of 77 leaving behind 57 vacancies and the petitioners again vis -a -vis this Medical College are 29.
