Head coach of Pak cricket team resigns

ISLAMABAD, Jan 8:

Grant Bradburn, head coach of the Pakistan cricket team at the 2023 World Cup, announced his resignation on Monday, , concluding a five-year journey that saw him serve multiple roles.
The 57-year-old New Zealander issued a statement, expressing his gratitude for the opportunities and experiences he had during his tenure. “Time to close the incredible chapter that has been Pakistan cricket for me,” said Bradburn, adding that “I am immensely proud of what we achieved together and feel privileged to have worked with such dedicated players, talented coaches, and the brilliant PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) staff.”
Bradburn served as batting coach and head coach for the 2023 World Cup before transitioning to the high-performance coach position at the National Cricket Academy following the team’s poor World Cup performance in India. In his statement, Bradburn acknowledged the unwavering support he had received from the PCB and Pakistani fans.
“I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this journey so special. I wish the Pakistani teams, the PCB, and all its supporters continued success and sustained growth in the years to come,” he added. (UNI)
