Head-on-collision leaves 10 tourists injured

RAMBAN, May 3: In a head-on-collision here today between a truck and a passenger vehicle of Tempo Traveler make 10 tourists sustained minor injuries in Rattanbass area near Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The ill fated Tempo Traveler bearing registration number HP01H-1938 while on its way to Srinagar from Jammu collided with a truck bearing registration number JK29A-6484 coming from the opposite direction at Rattanbass area of Banihal and the collision left 10 persons hurt with minor injuries.
They were rushed to Sub District Hospital Banihal for treatment. The injured persons were identified as Neelmullah Parmode, 61, wife of Dheeraj Parmode; Rohini Ben, 50, wife of Rama Kant; Nipul Bhatt, 60, son of Rama Kant Bhat; Beekha Bhai Pola, 60, son of Bhai Waneeqa; Rekha Ben, 58, wife of Satish Kumar Modsay; Alpa Ben,59, wife of Vipul Bhat; Rama Kant, 62, son of Rahul Sahib; Nagesh, 64, son of Kamanee and Kamlesh Kumar Bhai, 62, son of Nana Bhai Pammar-all residents of Baroda, Gujarat.
Driver of the vehicle was Parveen Singh, 41, son of Parshotam Singh, resident of Dagwar Butsar, district Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh and he was also injured. SHO, Police Station Banihal, Inspector Ashiq Shah said the persons hurt in the accident were provided medical aid at Sub District Hospital, Banihal and were discharged afterwards.
