JAMMU, Aug 1: Healthy India Stronger India (HISI) launched its first free training centre at Raghunathpura, here.
Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the training centre in presence of Dr Abdul Kabir Dar, Director General, ISM J&K, President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Rakesh Gupta, Sham Langer Senior Vice President, Deepak Aggarwal Junior Vice President, Rahul Mahajan Secretary, Inderjeet President Hotel Association, President of Trader Federation Neeraj Anand, Abdul Mazid from Muslim Federation, Rajesh Gupta, President Fruit Market, RC Puri Secretary Red Cross Society, Mahant Varinder Khajuria, Jagdish Dogra from Sanatam Dharma Sabha, Ramesh Mahajan President Raj Tilak Road, BS Jamwal from Rajput Sabha, Ramesh Chander President Center Basic School Association, Vijay Saraf, Secretary Amar Singh Club, Arvind Mahajan from KC Group, Pavan Gupta and various other prominent persons.
HISI is a unique NGO established under the supervision of its Chairman Hira Lal Abrol for health and education programs and to train the youth in various skills so that they can earn a decent livelihood and become responsible citizens of the nation.
HISI also stands for spreading awareness to the masses about the social evils and educate them about various schemes of the Government. Activities of HISI will be overseen by a distinguished Board of Directors who will bring their expertise in business, science, healthcare and politics to guide the focus of the foundation work that are aimed at improving the plight of people struggling in areas of disaster and underdevelopment.
Divisional Commissioner said that the centre will become the most sought after destination for free courses in computers, cutting and tailoring, cookery and beautician courses. “The centre will also arrange for free legal advice against domestic violence and even sponsor the marriage of orphan girls”, he added.
On the occasion, Suman Kumar Chadda, Prabha Slathia, Vimla Slathia, Ashok Puri, Vinod Sachdeva, Arun Sharma Retd Chief Engineer, Kamal Gupta, Subash Abrol, Ashwini K Seth, Ashok Abrol, Jagdish Bajaj, IC Jandial, Vijay Abrol, Gopal Pandey, Pawan Gulati, Dalbir Singh, Shammi Slathia and Trustees of the NGO, Savita Abrol, Gourav Abrol and Aakriti Abrol were also present.
