JAMMU: The annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra is scheduled to commence on 2nd July, 2016 and conclude on 18th August, 2016. CEO, SASB informed that arrangements for heli service operations for the Yatra have been finalized and the advance ticket booking has commenced on 4th April, 2016.

This year the heli services shall be provided by Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) and Global Vectra Helicorp Limited (GVHL) on Neelgrath-Panjtarni-Neelgrath Sector and Himalayan Heli Services Private Limited (HHSPL) on Pahalgam-Panjtarni-Pahalgam Sector. The advanced on line booking and booking through the appointed agents by the heli operators has commenced from 4th April 2016. The guidelines for booking the heli tickets are available on the Board’s website www.shriamarnathjishrine.com. It was also informed that the links of heli operators websites for booking of heli tickets are available on the Board’s website www.shriamarnathjishrine.com.

The one way heli fare from Neelgrath-Panjtarni-Neelgrath sector is fixed at Rs. 2000/- and from Pahalgam-Panjtarni-Pahalgam Sector at Rs 4300/- inclusive of Service Tax @ 12.6 %

It was also informed that Yatris who travel by helicopters to Panjtarni shall not be required to secure Yatra Permits but such Yatris will be required to produce Compulsory Health Certificates, duly issued by Authorized Doctors/ Institutes at the time of boarding the helicopter at Neelgrath / Pahalgam. The details of such institutions /authorized doctors is available on the Board’s website www.shriamarnathjishrine.com. No Yatri shall be allowed to board the helicopter without first submitting the Compulsory Health Certificate.

Children below 13 year in age, elderly persons above the age of 75 years and ladies who are more than 6 week pregnant shall not be permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.

CEO, SASB urged that Yatris must follow the Do’s and Don’ts available on Board’s website issued by SASB, from time to time, for safely undertaking this ardous Yatra.
