JAMMU, Sept 28: Heritage School organized a workshop on Effective Communication Skills for its faculty, led by Dr. Shreya Chatterjee, a seasoned academician and legal professional. She shared valuable insights into communication strategies aimed at enhancing interactions between faculty and students.
The workshop emphasized fostering a conducive learning environment, and Dr. Shreya guided participants through interactive sessions, covering key techniques for effective communication. She also conducted a specialized session with the English faculty, delving into topics like the history of the English language, colonial influences, current relevance, and career prospects.
She explored essential linguistic elements such as dialects, pronunciation, syntax and grammar, and highlighted the LSRW model (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) for language development. Practical tips on vocabulary building and encouraging students to read quality literature were also shared. The session concluded with Principal Akash Pradhan expressing heartfelt thanks to Dr. Shreya for her valuable contributions and the knowledge imparted to the faculty.
