JAMMU, Aug 1: Heritage School Jammu hosted a workshop on Humane Education, organized by Save Animal Value Environment (SAVE), for students of classes IV to VI. The workshop, led by Inder Sandhu, Director of PEEDU’s People, and his team, including Chairperson Devinder Kaur Madaan, and members Gurvinder Kaur and Hemlata Karki, focused on fostering kindness, empathy, and respect for all living beings.
The event commenced with Principal Akash Pradhan presenting a bouquet to the resource persons and special guest Sunaina Gupta, an animal enthusiast and a member of the Heritage family. The workshop aimed to instill core values in students by addressing bullying, promoting compassion, and encouraging ethical decision-making. Topics discussed included animal welfare, environmental conservation, and social justice, with interactive activities that taught students to interpret canine body language and understand rabies prevention.
Students actively participated and expressed their appreciation for the valuable lessons learned. The workshop concluded with Principal Pradhan and Vice Principal Rashmi Thakur presenting mementos to the guests, followed by a vote of thanks from the Principal, who expressed gratitude for the meaningful engagement and support from the SAVE team.
