JAMMU, June 4: Inter School and Zone Level Competitions, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports held at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter School District Level Competitions of District Jammu in the disciplines of Badminton, Carrom, Table Tennis, Speed Ball and Chess for under-14 and 17 girls concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium.
In under-14 Badminton, Heritage School registered win over Carmel Convent and lifted the title trophy.
In under-14 Carrom, Amanpreet Kour and Rinky Tomar of APS Sunjwan secured first position, while Ambika and Anshika of SOS bagged second position, whereas in under-17 category, Shaffali and Rutui of St. Xavier Convent clinched first position and Arushi and Riya of Maharishi Vidya Mandir secured second position.
In under-14 Speedball (girls), Anjali Sharma of DCM, Shreya Pandita of Minerva Public School and Pranyane of DPS bagged first, second and third positions respectively in Single category (girls), whereas in under-14 Solo (girls), Vidhia of DPS, Komal of St. Xavier Convent and Jaspreet of GHS Simbal Camp clinched first, second and third positions respectively. In under-14, Vansh of HNNL Public School, Shivanshu of DHSS Public School and Vinayak of DCM Public School bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
SAMBA: Inter Zone District Level Competitions for under-14 and 17 girls was held at Arazi Stadium here.
In under-14 Kabaddi final, Samba lost to Purmandal by 20 points, whereas in Volleyball final, Purmandal registered win over Samba 2-0 sets and in Kho-Kho final, Samba thrashed Purmandal by 5 points.
In under-17 Kabaddi final, Purmandal lost to Samba by 16 points, whereas in Volleyball final, Purmandal registered win over Vijaypur by 2-0 sets and in Kho-Kho final, Samba clinched the title by defeating Vijaypur by 6 points.

In under-14 (boys), Muskeen Ali of GMMS Hiranagar bagged first position in 100 meters, whereas in 200 meters, Ajay Singh of Unique Model School Chadwal emerged winner, in 400 meters, Fareed Ali of MS Mandyal clinched first position and in 600 meters, Saif Ali of MS Dhanna bagged first position.
In under-17 (boys), Romi Mehra of HSS Keerain bagged first position in 100 meters, while in 200 meters, Gourav Jasrotia of KPS Barnoti, in 400 meters, Harshit Malagran of KV Hiranagar, in 800 meters, Manjeet Singh of HS Dinga Amb bagged first position, in 1500 meters, Mangal Singh of HS Dinga Amb secured first position, in 3000 meters, Hanif Ali of HS Jakhbar clinched first position and in 5000 meters, Manjeet Singh of HS Tridwan clinched first position.
