JAMMU, Aug 26: Heritage School Jammu organized a function to mark the leadership qualities of its budding alumni.
It was a festive occasion; where everyone was eager to witness the newly elected student council, who had to go through the grind of a very transparent system of elections by the electronic voting wherein the students from classes IX to XII exercised their power of voting and chose their leaders.
The occasion was solemnized in the presence of the gathering of the distinguished parents of elected student council members, who were brimming with pride and joy to witness their children taking the responsibilities of their office.
The event commenced with welcome speech delivered by Senior Academic coordinator Archana Sharma.
Akash Pradhan, Principal Heritage School, administered the oath of office to the School Prefects and House Prefects respectively. It was followed by pipping of Hashir Mohammad (XII) as Head Boy and Divyanshee (XII) as Head Girl by the Principal. Sidh Mahajan (Vice Head Boy) and Anika Gupta (Vice Head Girl) were decorated with badges and sashes by the Vice Principal Mahendra Kanwar. Rishaan Sharma and Aadmya Randhwa were adorned with badges and sashes by the Headmistress Vandana Jasrotia as the Head Boy Primary Wing and as the Head Girl Primary Wing respectively.
Cultural Activities Captain Mathan Choudhry and the Sports Captain Vikrant Gupta received their badges from Incharge Cultural Activities and Sports Co-coordinator respectively. The other inducted members to the student council were Culture House–Saksham Gupta Prefect (Sr), Manroy Singh Vice Prefect (Sr), Brumjot Singh Prefect (Jr) and Priyal Vice Prefect (Jr), Tradition House–Adhiraj Rana Prefect (Sr), Kripa Arora Vice Prefect (Sr), Viaan Jain Prefect (Jr) and Saanvi Vice Prefect (Jr), Legacy House–Vardha Gupta Prefect (Sr), Samridhi Gupta Vice Prefect (Sr), Ridhvan Prefect (Jr) and Aadya Mahajan Vice Prefect (Jr) and Dignity House–Seerat Arora Prefect (Sr), Rudraksh Lamba Vice Prefect (Sr), Kriday Tripathi Prefect (Jr) and Ishika Singh Mehta Vice Prefect (Jr).
They were invested into the office by their respective Housemistresses.
