JAMMU, Aug 30: Continuing with its tradition of organizing One Act Play as Inter House competition since last few years, Heritage School today organized English and Hindi One Act Play competition in its school premises.
All the four Houses of the school presented Hindi and English One Act Plays with thought provoking messages. The themes of the plays ranged from classroom humour, introspection of human emotions, gratitude towards parents, idiosyncrasies of English language to growing influence of social websites in our lives and love for the motherland.
The acting skills of the students generated a thunderous applause from the audience.
The performances were judged by Jawahar Ali, vice-principal, KC Public School and Renu Katyal, a senior Hindi teacher from BSF School, Paloura.
They were highly impressed with the quality of plays selected and the perfect execution of these by students of the four Houses. While appreciating the efforts of the students, the judges also gave valuable tips on the use of stage, props and movements of cast on stage to generate a greater impact.
Dignity House won 1st position in Hindi One Act Play and Tradition House won 1st position in English One Act Play. The students who were complemented by the Judges for their stellar performance in English One Act Play were Harsimran Kaur, Harmeet Kaur and Divyanshu Dhar while those appreciated for their histrionic skills in Hindi One Act Play were Ruhi Khajuria, Harjot Kaur, Wafa Ashraf, Ananya Raina, Hani Mohd and Tamanpreet.
The Principal, Heritage School, felicitated the judges and expressed his gratitude to them for giving their valuable time to the school.
