JAMMU, July 29: On the ‘International Tiger Day’ a variety of activities and programmes were carried out by Heritage School to promote the cause of ‘Save our Tigers’.
A special Morning Assembly was conducted in which students read out articles and stirring poems to motivate all to become sensitive to the cause especially the youth as they are the future stakeholders of the country.
After the morning assembly cycle rally was flagged off by the Principal, Jagadish Singh from the School, in which 50 young cyclists reached Wave Mall where they distributed pamphlets and sensitized the crowds about the need to protect the golden beast.
Another group of students from the School went to Gole Market where they took a march carrying pamphlets, placards urging the youth and the concerned citizens to understand the importance of tigers in forest ecosystem and how it affects the human beings.
