JAMMU, Oct 30: The Primary Wing of Heritage School took the audience on a rhythmic journey to activate ‘The Inner Rainbow’ at its 19th Annual Day by students of Classes I and II, at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here today.
With the theme of ‘Nutzilla: The Acorn’ as basic framework, the captivating cultural items were aimed to entertain and educate young students about the significance and value associated with each colour of the rainbow, encouraging them to embrace these qualities in their daily lives.
Indu Kanwal Chib (Mission Director – Rural Livelihood Mission, UT of J&K, Jammu), was the chief guest on the occasion. She awarded ‘All-Rounder’ trophies for the session 2022-23 to the students namely: Gurvansh Singh (IB), Myra Wani (ID), Banat Kour (IIB) and Aaditri Gupta (IIC). Gurfateh Singh, of class IF, received recognition for his outstanding sports achievement in Chess. Classes IB, IC and IIF were declared Best Classes of the year 2023, for their excellence in co-curricular activities.
Earlier, Vandana Jasrotia (the Headmistress), in her welcome address, underlined the child-centred philosophy of the School where every child has the right to enjoy his/her place in the sun, in this case- the stage.
The Primary school choir- Minstrels of Melody, demonstrated their boundless enthusiasm as they began with the high octane strains of ‘Aarambh hai, prachand…’ culminating with the crescendo of ‘Jai Ho’.
What made this event truly mesmerizing were the cultural performances by the children of Classes I and II. The students brilliantly showcased the seven colours of the rainbow on the stage, making the theme come alive.
