JAMMU, Aug 22: Heritage School sailed into finals of the ongoing 1st PEFI inter-school Cricket championship, organised by Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) in collaboration with Trikuta Cricket and Football Academy and Elite Sports at Railway Ground, here today.
The 2nd semifinals match was played between Stephens International Public School Miran Sahib and Heritage School Jammu.
After winning the toss, the Heritage School decided to bat first and scored a modest total of 141 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Aksh scored 42 runs and Sandeep Singh made 24 runs. From the bowling side, Nipun and Harjinder took 2 wickets each, while Abhishek and Aatish shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Stephens School was all out for 71 runs in 12 overs and lost the match by 70 runs in which Mohd Shayeen scored 16 runs. From the bowling side, Aksh took 4 wickets, while Abhiroob got 3 wickets.
Aksh was adjudged man of the match for his outstanding performance.
