Heritage student shines in Nat’l level essay contest

JAMMU, Oct 18: Nameah Khanna of class-XI brought laurels to the Heritage School in the National level essay writing competition, organised by ‘Nanhi Chhaan’ at The Scindia School Gwalior from October 9 to 11.
The competition was presided over by Harpal Singh, Chairman Nanhi Chhaan along with Rajinder Pawar, Chairman of the host School as the chief guest. Sharmila Bakshi, Principal Vasant Valley School Delhi, Deepak Kapoor, a well known face in the corporate world and G Parthasarthi, India’s ambassador to various countries were the judges.
In the first round, she expressed her poignant ideas on ‘Indian culture -what does it mean’ and in the second round she passionately wrote about ‘How important is the freedom of press’. Nameah also excelled in the group discussion round. She won a smart watch along with a gift hamper.
The pan India competition saw the participation of over 30,000 students from 200 different prestigious schools of India. The school is proud of the young achiever and extends best wishes for all her endeavours.
