JAMMU, May 31: Hermann Gmeiner School Jammu celebrated a programme in the school here today.
The event was an opportunity to witness elect new Student Council Members and to celebrate the spirit of leadership and responsibility within the student body. Colonel Munish Jasrotia, Commanding Officer, 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC was the chief guest on this occasion.
Principal Mukesh Thakur welcomed the chief guest and others followed by a rejuvenating speech to mark the auspicious beginning of the ceremony. He appreciated the honesty, confidence and clarity in thoughts which the students had exhibited during their selection process and wished that they work not just for the betterment and growth of their fellow students but for their personal growth as well.
The students were honoured with the responsibilities of distinguished positions. Various positions were highlighted in the badge and sashes ceremony from house captains, prefects, cultural and morning assembly coordinators to class representatives. The students pledged their honesty, consistent accountability and responsibility to the council through the investiture Oath.
