JAMMU, Feb 4: Defeating J&K Power Development Corporation (PDC) by five goals to four via tie-breaker in the summit clash, Hero Club lifted the title trophy of the 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
The players of both the teams showed extraordinary soccer skills and the match ended in a tie in the stipulated 90 minutes and the result was only possible in tie- breaker.
MK Sinha, IGP Jammu Zone was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Yudhvir Singh Sethi, Vice President BJP (Jammu); Sheikh Mehmood, District President JKFA; Kuldeep Singh, Vice President DFA Kathua; Romesh Chander Vice President, DFA Jammu Zone and Surinder Singh Bunty, Treasurer JKFA were the guests of honour.
The match was officiated by Dheeraj Meenia, Vijay Kumar, Rocky Sharma and Ricky Kumar.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were SM Gill, Ex MLA and President All J&K Christian Welfare Association, David Masih, Yousuf Don, Rajesh Sumbria and Featus Sotra.
