JAMMU, Dec 24: The troops of Border Security Force (BSF) today seized heroin worth several crores near Border Out Post (BOP) Kharkola along International Border (IB) in RS Pura sector.
As per police sources, the troops of BSF while patrolling along IB near BOP Kharkola in RS Pura sector seized three kilograms of heroin valuing worth Rs 3 crores in the international market.
The heroin was found packed in 3 packets weighing approximately 1 kg each, wrapped with yellow coloured polythene.
Upon opening the packets, white granulate substance was found inside them, which was later confirmed as heroin.
The consignment was seized and a case under relevant Sections was registered in RS Pura police station in this regard.
It is to mention that, on December 21, BSF also recovered fake Indian currency worth Rs 3.99 lakh near BOP Kharkola along International Border (IB) in RS Pura Sector.
